my fault, i keep saying open wastegate but what i mean is there is no vacumm line hooked up to the wastegate which would mean it stays closed cause theres no vacumm on the spring inside causing it not to open an keep building boost correct? what i was questioning is why it would only build 16psi (on a spike) with out the controller hooked up an the wastegate vacumm line hooked into nothing. what i didnt know also was what the wastgate lines t's off into the motor cause that is still hooked up an mabe that is why my boost is never what i want it and i can only have stock boost or 12psi (16 spike)... thanks for explaining that btw cause i did not know that turbos never hold thier boost. i alwasy thought they didnt hold thier boost cause boost leaks. i though the boost controller sets how muh pounds of pressure is in the piping an whats in the piping is what goes into the wastegate(after boost controller).
